Monsoon Bar & Grill is proud to offer Authentic Italian Pizzas at its new addition- The Pizzeria. Italian pizza experts claim that it takes four key elements to produce a great pizza: 1) A Pizza Oven 2) Pre Heating 3) Fresh and well raised Dough. and 4) Good quality cheese.
And Yes. We believe them!
Pizzeria uses a customized oven that is designed to back pizzas. The oven is ceramic insulated and wrapped with brick walls from the outside for effective baking. The oven makes chewy (crunchy pizzas are considered low quality) and soft pizzas within an ideal time of 12 minutes. The interior of the oven is designed in such a way that the pizza bubbles while baking. Resulting in a well cooked pizza with air bubbles trapped at the surface.
The pizza oven is turned on one hour prior to the opening to the pizzeria, and is turned off only after the closing. The oven remains hot at an constant heat of 500 degrees. Any pizza that goes into this oven is bound to be of great quality.
It is the law of the Pizzeria to use only freshly made dough everyday. The dough is prepared and raised (giving adequate time) to meet the Italian standards. We have a system to monitor the timing of each the pizza dough at the end of the day. All the remaining dough is either discarded or made into bread loafs. At the Pizzeria, each day starts with fresh dough.
Almost all the pizzas you get in Pokhara uses buff cheese, but not at the Pizzeria. Pizzeria uses the pizza cheese- Mozarella as the main ingredient in each pizza it offers. The soft & easily melting nature of this cheese makes Pizzeria's pizzas extra soft to eat. For those who prefer harder cheeses, we offer parmesan Cheddar and Yak cheeses as extra choices.
